If there's one makeup product you need to get comfortable using this year, it's highlighter—the stuff is everywhere on the red carpets right now. But there's a spot I bet you're forgetting when it comes time to apply it on yourself that Emma Watson's makeup artist made sure to hit at the Elle Style Awards last night.

Sure, sure, she's got on her cheekbones and down her nose, but do you also see it across her forehead? I know why this area gets skipped so often—when it comes time to play up your features, your forehead probably doesn't immediately come to mind. But putting highlighter an inch or two below your hairline like this opens up her entire face.
It's a spot you really shouldn't miss when you apply your highlighter—and now I bet you won't. My work here is done.
