Kate Upton Is the New Face of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics

First, Katie Holmes. Now Kate Upton. This morning, Bobbi Brown announced the bombshell model and actress as the newest face of the brand—and we couldn't be more excited.

"She's beautiful, confident, and creates her own rules," says Bobbi Brown.
"Confidence and being comfortable is the secret to beauty. It's really inspirational to see," she says.

And Upton had amazing things to say about the partnership as well. "I'm thrilled to be the face of
Bobbi Brown cosmetics. Bobbi is an American success story—she created a global brand from an idea that women can be beautiful being exactly who they are, and I love that," she said.

Personally, I can't wait to see more of her gorgeous face in great makeup and upcoming campaigns.
And obviously we'll find out all of her product obsessions. In the meantime, check out this video of Bobbi and Kate announcing the collaboration and chatting about beauty.

Friday Fashion Flashback: Jennifer Lopez Revives THIS Iconic Look in Her New Music Video

In 2000, then-emerging pop star Jennifer Lopez
turned up on the red carpet at the 42nd Annual Grammy Awards on the arm
of her then-beau, hotshot Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs, wearing a dress that
would change her life—and put her on the fashion map as one of the
most-daring bodies in the biz.

Behold, Jennifer Lopez's tropical-print Versace dress—the dress that changed her life.

To this day, that green Versace gown is one of those OMG fashion moments
that we'll always remember. And it looks like Lopez remembers it fondly
too. Just check out her brand-new music video for "I Luh Ya PaPi" feat.
French Montana—and take a look at what she's wearing.

Yup, that's right. It's a green, plunge-neckline, tropical-print tribute to her 2000 Grammys dress.

I love that Jennifer Lopez included this fashion tribute in her new
video—she hasn't forgotten where she came from! What do you think? Tell
us what some of your favorite iconic OMG celeb looks are in the comments

6 Things You Definitely Shouldn't Wear on a First Date

How should you dress for a first date? Well, that answer completely depends on your style, the activity, the time of year, and more. But my general rules are: Be comfortable, wear something that makes you feel confident…and don't scare your date.
Which is why I couldn't stop laughing when I accidentally stumbled across this tank top (which, yes, is actually part of a pajama set and not intended to be worn on a date), which expresses what I wish I could say to every guy I've gone out with the last two years:

After I finished cracking up imagining wearing this tank top with a skirt and a denim jacket on all my dates for the next three months, I discovered that there's a wealth of hilarious graphic tops that are wholly date-inappropriate in the world of young women's pajamas.
This pair, for instance, is a cruel way to show your feelings:

And this pair? #TooObvious:

Outside of pajamas, the world of graphic tees has a lot of options in the Instant Date Repellant category as well. For instance…
As a magazine lover who hoards literally hundreds of issues (of Vogue and Glamour, obviously), I love this shirt. A prospective date might not so much:

CoolFunnyTshirts on Etsy, $15
This might not be exactly the vibe you want, at least if you're hoping to keep things sweet and innocent at first:

A guy who judges you for having a cat? Not cool. But a guy who's a little afraid of this death-by-laser-glare polka-ing cat on your shirt? I kind of understand:

And that concludes my first round of my new favorite game, Finding Things You Wouldn't Actually Wear on a Date but That Are Hilarious to Imagine. Have a good weekend, guys!

But…I should probably buy those pajamas just for my own private joke, right? What are your personal wardrobe no-nos for a first date?

Well, This Orange Is the New Black Star Sure Cleans Up Nice, Huh?

Taryn Manning doesn't exactly get the opportunity to go glam on Orange Is the New Black (um, she's a prisoner with a rather troubled past, after all), so I don't blame her for pulling out all the stops and bringing it to PaleyFest.

Her smoky eye makeup and soft updo are lovely—very classic with an edge, which I get the sense is Manning's speed in real life. And that's funny because her characters are never exactly the chic type. In fact she has been quoted as saying, "I tend to get cast as the more troubled—I like to call them colorful or layered—characters." And she plays them bravely—hey, on Orange she says she doesn't wear a stitch of makeup! So it's nice to see her get to get gussied up, don't you think?

And here are two fun, free-spirited looks for your boho honeymoon:

Honeymoon Look 1

Honeymoon Look 2

Obviously none of these dresses would work for a mega-formal wedding. (Or a bride who plans on wearing bra.) But I adore them for, say, Jessa from Girls.

Would you wear any of these for your wedding dress? How 'bout the last two for your honeymoon?

couldn't have pulled off the dresses for my wedding, but I totally
would've worn the first honeymoon look with something underneath. And this dress is high on my summer wish list. (I adore the stars.)

P.S. "Luxury Boho" is a DO for spring! Here's how to style it.

Wearing a Third Earring as a Hair Accessory: You Into This?

Here's something different for ya: Model Cynthia Kirchner wore a dangling accessory in her hair at the Dream Builders Project's A Brighter Future for Children event over the weekend that matched her rather large dangling earrings:

So she kind of looked like she was wearing three earrings, one in each ear and one on the back of her head.
You've got to give her points for creativity—it definitely stuck out from the crowd. But I'm not sure I'm totally sold. For me, with the earrings, it's all just a little too much. Had they been simple pearl studs in her ears with the dangly brooch in the back, I think I'd be all over it though.
What about you? Love this look or hate it? Discuss below.

Victoria's Secret Model Adriana Lima Shows How to Get the Cat-Eye Look Even If You're a Klutz With Liquid Liner

I'm sure you'll all agree that Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima is basically the living, breathing definition of sexy. So of course she is one of our favorite muses for sultry eye makeup, including the cat-eye makeup we all love but can't all apply on ourselves as well as we'd like. Although, the eye makeup Adriana wore at the BrazilFoundation gala in Miami yesterday involved a cat-eye alternative that's very appealing to those of us who aren't super-savvy with liquid eyeliner—winged-out smudgy eyeshadow.

Look closer.

See how the sheer gray eyeshadow is fanned up and out from Adriana's outer corners? The beauty of this idea is that you can blend it (and erase with a Q-tip as needed) until it looks right. A sharp liquid-liner cat-eye isn't so easy to adjust/user-friendly. Sure, this look still takes time and a bit of practice, but I find it much less intimidating than very defined retro cat eyeliner.
How about you ladies—do you ever use eyeshadow to create a cat-eye look, instead of liner? What do you find the easiest way to nail this look?

Divergent Star Shailene Woodley is Our Glamour Style Icon of the Week

Remember when Shailene Woodley played the original Kaitlin Cooper on The O.C. (and her pony had alopecia)? Then, while starring on the ABC Family teen mom show The Secret Life of an American Teenager, she totally blew it out of the water with a Golden Globe-nominated role in The Descendants. Now, the world is waiting with bated breath to see if she can topple the Hunger Games' reign on the YA genre with Divergent, opening this Friday. And along the way, Shailene has come into her own on a fashion level—skillfully trying out edgy new designers while stunning in the classics. Thereby, we must honor the talented 22-year-old with the Glamour Style Icon of the Week award. Let's take a look:

In 2011, in support of The Descendants, a baby-faced Shailene posed on the Governors Awards red carpet in this youthfully pretty fit-and-flare cocktail dress by Katherine Kidd.

While working the awards circuit in 2012, the nominee wowed in an ethereal silvery-gray Marchesa gown at the Golden Globes.

Shailene played with color and embellishments in this Christopher Kane column gown at the Met Gala in 2012.

On the promo tour for her critically acclaimed role in The Spectacular Now, Shailene wore this creamy crop-top and midi-skirt outfit by Apiece Apart, along with strappy Jimmy Choo heels.

Shailene loves herself a chic crop top and skirt pairing—here she is that summer in a Proenza Schouler set.

It's like a rite of passage for young starlets to chop off their glorious long hair, right? Last year, Shailene cut hers into a pixie for her role in the teen cancer teerjerker Fault in Our Stars. Here she is showing off her new coif in a shimmery Calvin Klein mini-dress at the Gotham Awards.

While Shailene does tend to prefer black, white, and gray, she tried out the pastel trend in a brocade mini-dress by Jonathan Saunders at an Oscars luncheon.

Fittingly, to promote her role as the kickass Beatrice "Tris" Prior in Divergent, she opted for an edgy, futuristic outfit—all by Alexander McQueen.
Which look do you like best? Are you planning on watching Divergent? Do you remember Shailene on The O.C.

Best Dressed on This Weekend's Red Carpets: Adriana Lima, India Arie, Lucy Hale, and Others!

This weekend, some of our favorite leading ladies took to red carpets across the country to celebrate everything from gospel to Brazil to Pretty Little Liars. Check out my five picks for best dressed on the red carpet over the weekend—and tell us, in the comments below, whose look you liked the best!
Taraji P. Henson looked stunning in a formfitting Azzedine Alaia tank dress and Gianvito Rossi shoes at the 2014 BET Celebration of Gospel in Los Angeles.

India Arie's print ball gown is so beautiful—and it was made especially for her by her mom, who designs the label Havenstreet.

Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale chose a pale blue Tibi crop top and skirt set for the PaleyFest red carpet this weekend.

Ashley Benson proves that head-to-toe white doesn't just happen during the summer. She's wearing an Alberta Ferretti dress.

I feel, deep in my soul, that hot pink is, like, the neutral of brights—it actually looks great on so many different people, but its bright in-your-face-ness isn't necessarily to everyone's tastes. Do you wear hot pink? Adriana Lima does. Here she is at this weekend's BrazilFoundation Gala in Miami wearing a Gabriela Cadena bejeweled gown, looking very supermodel-y.

Whose red carpet look is your favorite?

Kim Kardashian Debuts a New Shorter Haircut, and It's So Cute You're Going to Freak Out

Kim Kardashian either chopped her hair all off or (as I suspect) she took out some extensions, because she stepped out with her formerly three-miles-long hair just a few inches below her collarbone.

Not only is it shorter, but it's got a much shaggier texture to it, and I'm in LOVE with it on her. It's soft and has fantastic movement—a perfect choice for spring, I say.
What about you? Do you like her new cut?

Will Prince William and Kate Middleton Have Another Royal Baby? "Maybe One Day."

Fawnia already showed you this morning Kate Middleton's super cute green coat that she wore to the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, but what we're buzzing about on Obsessed is Prince William's comments on whether or not we can expect another royal baby...

Just don't get too excited—yet. According to People, while talking to Regimental Sergeant Major Ray Collister, William said: "Maybe one day. One's enough at the moment." Still, is there hope? Collister says, "He said maybe when there's time." That's all I need to know!
The couple's focus for now is on baby Prince George—who is now crawling! Awww.
Prince George is less than a year old, so I can understand them wanting to wait before adding another to the family. That said, the world would love to see more royal babies, right?
