Midiskirts: The Leading Fall Fashion Trend on the Runways Is Making Covered-Up Cool

Knee-deep in New York Fashion Week trends, Sophia already called out the gorgeous, plush coats we have to look forward to this coming fall (as if we don't have enough already this winter). Now I have my eye on another look that's all over the runways: midiskirting. It's longer than right-below-the-knee and just shorter than a maxi, the versatile midi gives an ultra-ladylike and demure allure to any outfit. Plus, a midi comes in all different shapes and styles, like these:

Rebecca Minkoff's preppy-pretty dress layers perfectly under a fine-knit V-neck sweater and wooly coat.

Delpozo—the label that dressed young tastemaker and actress Kiernan Shipka for last year's Emmys—designed diaphanous layers in a vibrant chartreuse.

For their gypsy Roma-inspired collection, Suno brought in prints, color, and texture with a column dress approach to midi-lengths. Are you excited for the hemlines dropping to midi-lengths? What's your favorite style?
