Levi's Brings Back Its RED Collection for a Limited-Edition Run—Quilted Silk, Rainbow Skirts, and Other Denim Fantasies

Here's some exciting denim news to brighten up a slushy, snowy Wednesday: Levi's has just opened a month-long pop-up store in New York City's Meatpacking District. I stopped by last night to check it out—and it's dead cool.
Dedicated to the limited-edition rerelease of select items from the denim megabrand's iconic, super-collectible late-'90s RED line, the pop-up space features walls covered in art-shrouding bubble wrap and signature items from the collection suspended midair.

Levi's RED collection was originally launched in 1999 and, back then, was all about rethinking the company's five-pocket jeans—and finding new ways to work with denim. Nowadays, original RED pieces are super-sought-after by jeans collectors—but you don't have to spend hours on eBay trying to score some.
From now through the end of the month, you can stop by Levi's RED pop-up shop in New York at 58-60 Ninth Avenue (at 14th Street). Or you can head over to LevisRED.net for more info.
Some of my personal favorite items from the limited-edition rerelease? This round-collar jacket:

These super-baggy jeans that totally take me back to high school days:
