Let a Master Makeup Wearer Show You How to Make Baby Blue Eyeshadow Look Fierce

The color baby blue usually makes me think of cutesy things like stuffed bunnies and birthday balloons and pastel cupcakes filled with happiness and love and light. Model Jessica Hart, however, made it look like something a mythical goddess would wear while killing her arch nemesis and shot-gunning a beer. Totally bad@ss.
She wore this soft wash of blue eyeshadow on her lids with a very dark, blood red lipstick to the amfAR gala last night:

The contrast of the rich lipstick and the sweet eyeshadow somehow made her look like someone we should all bow down to and bring offerings of gold. This is a walking makeup lesson, people. Just because something seems sweet and soft doesn't mean it can't be funkier and tough when paired with the right lipstick on the right person.
