In case you missed it, the British Academy Film Awards (a.k.a. the
BAFTAs)
took place last night in London, and the stars came out in their finest
(on a side note, this is only making me MORE excited for the Oscars!).
Let's take a look at the best dressed, shall we?
I can't help but start with
Angelina Jolie and
Brad Pitt in strikingly similar tuxedos. Hers is
Saint Laurent, and his is
Valentino—which do you prefer?
Moving on to our red carpet darling
Lupita Nyong'o, in a belted emerald green
Dior Haute Couture ball gown, with matching gold Ana Khouri cuffs and custom-dyed
Christian Louboutin Shoes. Perfection.
As usual,
Cate Blanchett eschewed fly-by-night trends and went for a sophisticated jacquard gown by
Alexander McQueen, with an extraordinary diamond pendant by Chopard.
Amy Adams took a page out of Blanchett's playbook and went for a vampy screen-siren look in a sleek
Victoria Beckham gown with sheer panels from the designer's pre-fall 2014 collection.
Lady Edith Laura Carmichael wore a sweet knee-length dress by
Erdem.
Here's
Prince William
with the chief executive of BAFTA, Amanda Berry. Sigh. I would have
offered to babysit Prince George for the chance to see what Duchess Kate
would have worn.
Which is your favorite? What do you think of Angie and Brad's matching tuxedos?
